Evergreens is excited to launch the call for trainers for our upcoming youth workshop focused on climate and environmental capacity-building! This one-week-long workshop will take place in mid September and bring together 25 young change-makers from across Armenia who are actively engaged in or interested in nature conservation, biodiversity, climate change, and transformative change processes. The workshop is organized with the financial support from the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
The workshop will provide participants with an in-depth exploration of various environmental and climate topics, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive positive changes in their local communities. A key focus will be placed on the Nature Futures Framework (NFF), a concept developed by the IPBES scenarios and models task force, based on the IPBES Methodological Assessment of Scenarios and Models of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (2016).
During the workshop, participants will also develop local action initiatives with the support of the trainers. After the workshop, three selected projects will have the opportunity to receive small seed funding to implement their initiatives. Trainers will be expected to provide ongoing mentorship and support to these projects to ensure their successful implementation.
